‼️Here’s what my first year as a Pinterest Manager looked like...⬇️

And disclaimer, I’m not typically one for posting how much I make, I think those posts get a bit old/annoying. 😬

😜But this clearly isn’t that kind of a post, because those first few months were obviously very small numbers!

The point is I STARTED! And that’s one of the hardest parts, just taking that first step.

June 2019- $200
July 2019- $200
August 2019- $650
September 2019-$750
October 2019-$850
November 2019-$1,100
December 2019-$1,275
January 2020-$1,310
February 2020-$2,650
March 2020-$3,500
April 2020-$3,900
May 2020-$4,800

So why am I posting exact numbers inside my business for my first year?

Well, it’s to show you that there’s so many paths to success, and I wanted to share how I define “success”.

Many people might not consider my business “successful” based on the numbers I was making, but for me...

❤️Success was not going back to the classroom, but still bringing in income for our little family.

❤️Success was spending the days how I wanted to, which occasionally included napping because I was pregnant.

❤️Success was offering a service I really enjoyed, and being good at that service... which meant happy clients.

❤️Success was moving forward even if it was at a tortoise pace.

You know what this also helped me do? Scale slowly, and not burn myself out.

And guess what, we’re in 2025, and I’m still going strong with this Pinterest management business, and instead of managing accounts, I’m now educating and coaching... and it fills my cup every day.

And if you’re in it for the long haul, and you want consistent success, I’d love to help you get to $5K months and beyond inside my Pinterest Manager Academy.

🫠 Have you tried it all?? And nothing seems to 🫠 Have you tried it all??

And nothing seems to “work” for you? 😞

Now I’m not saying there aren’t people who are WILDLY successful with affiliate marketing, an MLM, Etsy Shop, TpT store (many of my clients do this and CRUSH IT)…etc.

One of my dear friends has an Etsy shop that has been SO successful.

But I just wasn’t called to do these things… and that’s ok 🥹

There has to be alignment.

And for me, these options didn’t feel “right” to me.

Have you felt that, too?

I’ve had people join me on my free trainings who have tried it all… and they said:

“I couldn’t bring myself to annoy people”

“It felt icky”

“I realized I just wasn’t interested in it”

“I think it could make me money over time, but I didn’t realize how much I’d have to market on social media platforms which I don’t like”

The list goes on….

If getting paid to work on Pinterest sounds like a dream 🥹

Well let me tell you, becoming a freelancer might be the perfect fit for you.

My (maybe) unpopular opinion, you don’t need a website day 1 of your business.

Yes, eventually you’ll want a beautiful website… but in the first few months I think that could be more of a hand up rather than propelling your momentum.

I think it’s more important to get skills training, learn this service, and then apply what you’ve learned through doing the work (paid work for clients!).

Getting that first client is so validating and I think new Pinterest Managers need that first (huge) milestone before getting caught up in the website.

You can become a fully booked Pinterest Manager with just a portfolio.

And you can make this portfolio on Canva, easy peasy.

Here’s what goes into your portfolio:

1. An About section (spoiler alert, this is actually about you, it’s about what you can do for your ideal client on Pinterest, aka get them more website traffic and $$$)
2. Packages- list your services and an overview of each + pricing
3. Testimonials- include feedback from business owners you’ve helped on Pinterest and include a headshot
4. Examples- of your work or case study
5. The next steps for how people can work with you, list them out and include a link to book a call with you

HERE’S HOW I QUIT ⬇️ I started my freelance HERE’S HOW I QUIT ⬇️

I started my freelance Pinterest Management business!

(If you’re ready to learn how to start your Pinterest Management and scale to 5 figure months, comment “START”!)

Let me go back for a second though.

I haven’t always been a Pinterest marketing expert.

Last October, my oldest turned 7, and after having her in 2017… I fully intended on going back to teaching.

My degree from Purdue is in Elementary Education and after 3.5 short years, and upon holding that baby in my arms…

I knew I couldn’t leave her.

Not only did I make peanuts (yes, I know, you don’t go into education for the money 😉), I couldn’t justify leaving her.

Not only did it make 0 sense financially after daycare, but it also wasn’t what I wanted.

So I quit.

I didn’t take that decision lightly, and there was so much guilt that surrounded it… but I had to put my family first. And selfishly what I wanted first, and I never wanted to miss a day with her.

Finances started to feel tight after 8 months of me not working and I KNEW I wanted to use my self in another capacity… I wanted to work, I wanted to build something, I wanted to provide for my family.

And this is when I discovered freelancing.

But alas… I thought I had no “skills that would be transferrable”… silly me.

I had SO many transferable skills, but I still invested in skills training because I wanted to specialize in Pinterest marketing and I knew NOTHING about working on Pinterest and help businesses in that capacity.

But I DID know I was a Pinterest addict 🤭and my gut didn’t steer me wrong… this was a PERFECT fit for me!

I had a lot of twists and turns on my journey, but I created a path that will be crystal clear for you in regard to starting your Pinterest Management business!
