I strategically help my clients get more traffic to their websites and convert that traffic into profit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So it could be argued that I\u2019m a little biased, but it&#8217;s for a good reason.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019ve seen Pinterest do amazing things for a variety of businesses and niches. And if you\u2019re wondering if Pinterest will work for your business, the answer is most likely yes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So without further ado, let\u2019s get started with 5 tips to help you get off that fence and into the camp of Pinterest!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Tip #1: The Platform is Changing and Evolving, So Be Prepared to Keep Up<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019ve noticed that business owners have <\/span><b>very<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> little patience with the changes that Pinterest makes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s 2022 and if Pinterest isn\u2019t changing and adapting, guess what? The platform would die!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m going to give you a little tough love here, but if you haven\u2019t noticed, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">every platform changes<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook are always changing. For some reason though, it seems like there\u2019s more patience and understanding with adjusting to these changes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From my years of experience, I think it\u2019s because many business owners don\u2019t feel like social media is optional. Whereas Pinterest on the other hand is viewed differently, more \u201cdisposable\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the biggest changes that Pinterest has made is the addition of Idea Pins. If you aren\u2019t sure what Idea Pins are, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/emileevales.com\/staging\/9789\/incorporating-idea-pins-into-your-organic-pinterest-strategy\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you can check out this blog post here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want to be successful on Pinterest this year, you absolutely have to be creating Idea Pins regularly for your business.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pinterest continues to change Idea Pins by adding more features. This has allowed them to also serve business owners more effectively as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pinterest continues to stay relevant because they\u2019re changing to keep up with platforms like TikTok, which have exploded in the past couple of years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Tip #2: What You Were Doing on Pinterest in 2018 Isn\u2019t Going to Work on The Platform Anymore<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you haven\u2019t noticed, I don\u2019t hold back when it comes to giving business owners advice about Pinterest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, I\u2019m just going to say it. It <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">drives me wild<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to hear other business owners make blanket statements about the visual search engine and honestly skew opinions about the platform.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you aren\u2019t a Pinterest strategist\/manager, then you have a very narrow view of Pinterest. This means you\u2019re only looking at Pinterest through the lens of how it affects your business.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also means that you probably aren\u2019t spending day in and out focusing on this specific platform and the success of your business on it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But I am!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So I have a different viewpoint of if it\u2019s \u201creally working\u201d. Some business owners that are proclaiming it no longer works are also sharing that from the standpoint of their 2018 strategy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pinterest is relevant, but your 4-year-old strategy probably is not!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This tip goes hand-in-hand with the platform changing. Or you can <a href=\"https:\/\/emileevales.com\/staging\/9789\/pmm-waitlist\/\">dive in and sign up for my signature course waitlist<\/a>, Pinterest Marketing Magic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Tip #3: Mindset is Everything<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using Pinterest will definitely take a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/emileevales.com\/staging\/9789\/a-pinterest-marketing-prerequisite\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">growth mindset<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and I frequently see business owners approach it with a fixed mindset.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s a shift from, \u201cPinterest doesn\u2019t work anymore\u201d to \u201cHow can I adjust and tweak my strategy and what can I test?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You also need to understand a few facts about Pinterest:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The platform takes time to see results (think 3-6+ months when first getting started, depending on a few different factors)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You need to constantly be planning ahead (think ~45-60 days in advance) because if you share seasonal content\/products that have a lot of potential, but fail to get it published in advance, it will not receive the same traction.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You need to get into the mind of your person on Pinterest and what they\u2019re searching for actively.<\/span> Example: I share Pinterest marketing tips, but my ideal Pinner might be searching how they can increase traffic or sales and not yet know that Pinterest is the answer. This means I need to think creatively about how I can target my audience via keywords, while still making sure my content is highly relevant and the answer to their problem<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">When Pinterest announces changes, be willing to test and experiment. But I think it\u2019s really important to realize that not only can I <\/span><b>NOT<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> do it all, but I shouldn\u2019t do it all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019ve accepted that web design is not in my zone of genius. I could tinker and play all day and it\u2019s not that I couldn\u2019t create something for my website, but it\u2019s not the best use of my time or energy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The same is true for Pinterest. Remember how I said you need to keep up with the changes, stay on top of the trends, etc? If this all sounds like something you\u2019ll never be able to do realistically, then you my friend might need to hire a Pinterest manager!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re wondering about the return on investment with a Pinterest manager, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/emileevales.com\/staging\/9789\/pinterest-marketing-roi-for-tpt-sellers\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here\u2019s some food for thought for you<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Tip #5: You Need Consistent Content Creation<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is not something brand new, or earth-shattering, but you need to consistently be creating fresh content on Pinterest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You want to think about how you can serve your audience and warm them up!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019ve seen time and time again that when business owners just slap up products and call it a day. They don\u2019t experience the same results and growth as the business owners that educate and inspire their person on Pinterest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The other pushback I hear is that many business owners don\u2019t see the same \u201creach\u201d from their fresh Pins.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes, you might have Pins that exploded in 2018, but Pinterest, and the algorithm, have gone through a lot of changes since then.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here\u2019s your friendly reminder: Pins can continue to gain traction over time. I have Idea Pins on my account that I created months ago that are still getting impressions, clicks, and saves. They were slow growers, but their stats definitely look better than they did 2 months ago!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, just because you\u2019re creating fresh content and a few days or weeks after it\u2019s published doesn\u2019t look outstanding, it doesn\u2019t mean that it won\u2019t perform well at all.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>In Conclusion<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do you decide if you should market your business on Pinterest? As you can see, I very much believe that Pinterest is alive and works well for <\/span><b>MANY<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> businesses. This is just a fact I\u2019ve experienced firsthand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are some questions though that you need to think about as a business owner that\u2019s contemplating marketing on Pinterest:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is your audience on Pinterest?
