Have you heard the phrase “choose your hard”? Lit Have you heard the phrase “choose your hard”?

Literally what entrepreneurship is.

It’s not passive, I’m not on autopilot.

It’s hard, it’s exhausting, it’s needs attention.

And id do it a million times over because it’s provided for our family & allowed me to still be at home with my babies.

As a former teacher, this beats “maternity leave ending” and daycare drop offs 🥹

Does that mean this is for everyone?

No, of course not.

But for those mamas who WANT to work, enjoy providing for their family and want something that pushes and challenges them outside motherhood… starting a freelance business might be for you.

If you run a business and have kids, can you relate though? 😜

Just bringing to light the other side that’s not so glamorous and admittedly hard 🥲

But HOW do you find people that need a Pinterest M But HOW do you find people that need a Pinterest Manager?!

Well... there’s definitely not just one route.

Inside my Pinterest Manager Academy, I teach multiple strategies for acquiring clients.

👉When I started my business back in 2018, I had a lot of success with Facebook Groups. I used them for networking and really focused on positioning myself as a “go-to” for Pinterest.

🎉Through networking, I started getting tagged and recommended. Then I started getting clients, and then the referrals followed!

It felt like there was a decent amount of saturation in Facebook Groups, but it did pay off for me.

🛑 It wasn’t until I started offering Pinterest ads that I hit a roadblock.

I learned a more premium service, and guess what... I had no leads or people that seemed interested in Pinterest ads.

So how would I find clients?

This is when I decided to go all in on cold pitching because if you aren’t seeing opportunities, you have to make opportunities. 👀

😬I know, I know.. if you’re like me, I wasn’t super attracted to that idea. It felt like it could potentially be “icky” to cold pitch.

But, when it’s done well... it’s not sliding into someone’s IG DM’s.

What worked for me (and also didn’t feel icky) was crafting a super personalized email, and actually showing this business owner how utilizing my services could make them more money.

I showed them this through a personalized PDF where I actually used their business, products, offers, etc and shared a projection with them.

Not only did it show them I wasn’t just creating a copy/paste email, but that I had actually researched their business and put time/thought into what I was sending.
