Follow these steps:

1. Go to Pinterest
2. Go to Trends
3. Filter by top yearly trends
4. Enter your keywords
5. Click on top ranking keywords
6. Scroll down to popular Pins
7. Click on one Pin and it will open in new window
8. Right click the url and copy it, then open in an incognito browser

Get inspired to create Pins for your niche!

Pay attention to what’s on the Pin images, if there’s text overlay, if theres collages, if theres static vs video etc!

This is an indication of what’s working well for your niche… use it to inspire your Pins because it’s resonating with your audience!

Here’s what I DID do:
✅Found a business model that felt aligned for me, which was freelancing (helping other business owners!)
✅Invested in skills training so I could reach my goals in the shortest amount of time possible
✅Niched down to a service I loved, Pinterest Management
✅Became an expert at this one thing, which meant I was able to increase my prices over time (I started at $200 for my packages and scaled up to $2,000)
✅Invested in business coaching and learned from someone who had already done what I wanted to do (scale to 10K months!)
✅Became a master of my time (I don’t have much extra time because I have 4 kids, and no childcare, and the oldest homeschools)
✅Took risks and was willing to fail, over and over again
✅Hire a VA and then subcontractor once I started to become overbooked
✅Pitched my premium services when I was struggling to find clients

What I DIDN’T do:
❌Make excuses for why I couldn’t do the work that was required in order to get results (this meant listening to courses while doing dishes, attending coaching calls with a baby in my lap, dividing up things with my husband so we could be a team and I could get my work done)
❌Stick with a service I didn’t enjoy.. even though there seemed to be a big demand for it (I started as a social media manager and I hated it)
❌Get a website right away.. I had my business for about 1.5 years before I had a professional website
❌Use social media to get clients (I only started my social media for my biz once I had a digital course to sell)
❌Utilize childcare for I could work more, I started my business so I could focus on being a mom, and I didn’t want to lose sight of why I started my business to begin with

I work from home as a Pinterest Manager!

Back in 2018, when I was first looking for work I could do from home or on part time hours…

I originally started looking at teaching English online. Anyone remember VIP Kids?

Then I realized I would still be working specific hours because I would be teaching online to kids in a different country…so they would be strange hours + I would have to be “on” since I would be teaching them in real time.

Then I discovered freelancing and initially did social media management, but even that had me engaging and posting at specific times for my clients…Blah… that got old real fast, and plus if you haven’t noticed…social media can be noisy and exhausting if you know what I mean 🫣

It was draining for me…

But I knew I loved freelancing + that service based business model, but what would be a better fit??

THEN I discovered Pinterest where I could not only work just a few hours a day, but truly when it was convenient for me + I could batch my work! And it was a HUGE bonus that Pinterest is my fave platform.

If you want to work a few hours a day, plus still make a really good income… all while working on Pinterest…

Now I’m not saying there aren’t people who are WILDLY successful with affiliate marketing, an MLM, Etsy Shop, TpT store (many of my clients do this and CRUSH IT)…etc.

Let’s clear this up first, you don’t need a degree in marketing/sales/business to be an amazing Pinterest Manager…

But you DO need skills training.

You can get skills training via free sources such as Google, YouTube, social media, etc or you can learn from a paid program that gives you the exact steps you need to take to be successful in the shortest amount of time.

But this leads me to the first part of the framework:

👉🏻1. Pinterest user to Pinterest guru

In order to work with clients as a Pinterest manager, my student went through my comprehensive Pinterest marketing training that taught her how to use the platform from a business/marketing perspective. Prior to this education and training, she knew she loved the platform, but from a user perspective.

The business side is fun too, but definitely different… and not something that will be intuitive.

👉🏻2. Find the right client load

In order to hit your income goals, whether that be replacing your 9-5 income or make additional money on the side, you need clients! Obviously 🙃 So my student actually implemented multiple different strategies for finding clients such as: Facebook Groups, networking, my hire form (yes I give my Academy students leads!), cold pitching, etc

Once she started getting clients, she implemented my systems so she could efficiently manage multiple accounts on a weekly basis while still working part time.

👉🏻3. The “no fail” support

My student is getting personalized coaching on a daily basis! Yes, she has access to me via my private Slack coaching channel. This means if she gets “stuck”, wants feedback on her work, has questions about client work… truly anything… she has an expert she can turn to.

This coaching truly makes all the difference in the world!

The main reason I quit teaching ⬇️

...was to be at home when I had my first child.

I literally went from teacher of the year to quitting in the middle of the year.

And there was a lot of guilt around that decision 🥹

Before I even had kids, I would get home after teaching all day, and I was absolutely drained.

And I also found it super depressing that I typically needed to work on lesson plans and grade papers at home in the evening.. because I only had 1 prep period, and let me tell you... you can’t get everything done that you need to do in 45 minutes.

I would be grading papers or have my laptop open and fall asleep on the couch at like 7:30 PM every night.

I didn’t feel like I had anything left for my husband, so how would I have anything left once I had kids?

I didn’t want to get home at the end of the day and feel like I was giving my family leftovers.

Now I know this is what I signed up for, but until you actually work the job, you can’t understand what the burnout feels like.

That’s why when I decided to quit, I had made peace with the fact that I would stay home.

It would save us on childcare expenses after all, plus... I had a degree in teaching, what else could I possibly do that would be a “real career”?

Well... fast forward, and that’s when I had a friend introduce me to the term “freelancing”.

I realized that as a teacher, I actually had a lot of transferable skills that would make me a great virtual assistant, social media manager, etc, and what piqued my curiosity the most...

PINTEREST MANAGEMENT!

Business owners would actually pay ME to work on their Pinterest account??

It honestly sounded too good to be true to work from home, and actually do something that I enjoyed that didn’t entail me trying to sell something, some product to someone (and something they probably didn’t even really want anyways).

But I’m here to tell you, it’s really not too good to be true, but it doesn’t come without effort when you’re starting your freelance Pinterest management business.
