Let’s clear this up first, you don’t need a degree in marketing/sales/business to be an amazing Pinterest Manager…

But you DO need skills training.

You can get skills training via free sources such as Google, YouTube, social media, etc or you can learn from a paid program that gives you the exact steps you need to take to be successful in the shortest amount of time.

But this leads me to the first part of the framework:

👉🏻1. Pinterest user to Pinterest guru

In order to work with clients as a Pinterest manager, my student went through my comprehensive Pinterest marketing training that taught her how to use the platform from a business/marketing perspective. Prior to this education and training, she knew she loved the platform, but from a user perspective.

The business side is fun too, but definitely different… and not something that will be intuitive.

👉🏻2. Find the right client load

In order to hit your income goals, whether that be replacing your 9-5 income or make additional money on the side, you need clients! Obviously 🙃 So my student actually implemented multiple different strategies for finding clients such as: Facebook Groups, networking, my hire form (yes I give my Academy students leads!), cold pitching, etc

Once she started getting clients, she implemented my systems so she could efficiently manage multiple accounts on a weekly basis while still working part time.

👉🏻3. The “no fail” support

My student is getting personalized coaching on a daily basis! Yes, she has access to me via my private Slack coaching channel. This means if she gets “stuck”, wants feedback on her work, has questions about client work… truly anything… she has an expert she can turn to.

This coaching truly makes all the difference in the world!

- I decided to focus on ONE service and truly become an expert in that area, for me, this was Pinterest

- I started consuming and investing everything I could into building my skills and authority in this specific niche

- I worked with a coach and worked on what set me apart + my offers (I had a unique selling proposition)

- I scaled my prices because I had case studies to back up my expertise

- I once again invested in my business and took additional skills training to run paid ads (multiple Pinterest courses and even courses on building funnels)

Now I’m not saying there aren’t people who are WILDLY successful with affiliate marketing, an MLM, Etsy Shop, TpT store (many of my clients do this and CRUSH IT)…etc.

One of my dear friends has an Etsy shop that has been SO successful.

But I just wasn’t called to do these things… and that’s ok 🥹

There has to be alignment.

I’ll never go back & here’s why ⬇️

I thought teaching was the perfect job for a mom, until I started teaching 🫠

I felt so conflicted, I loved it… but why did I feel dream when summer ended, breaks ended, or even weekends ended?

Life is wild. And so much can change in 6 years 🥲

I honestly can’t imagine what life would like if I would have stayed at my job.

I definitely wouldn’t have the income I have now, but even crazier, I’m not sure I would have had 3 kids.

Through the conversations I’ve had with moms looking to become Pinterest managers, I’ve had people tell me that they pay anywhere between 1K-3.5K on childcare depending on how many kids they have and what state they work in 🤯🥴

I have a sitter on a great occasion, but I don’t have full-time childcare… not even part-time, and I’m making a full-time income working part time hours.

And here’s my weekly reminder that I’m not special or unique 😂 I also have a background in education.

❌Not in sales.

❌Not in business.

❌Not in marketing.

When people tell me they are scared of not being successful, my response is that they only reason you won’t be successful is if you give up.

👎🏻 You don’t have to work a 9-5 and utilize daycare (if that’s not what you want ❤️)

👎🏻 You don’t have to stay at home and live on one income (if that’s not what you want ❤️)

🫶🏻 You can be at home AND provide for your family (and still be present with your kiddos… and even homeschool if you’re into that ☺️)

👀Intrigued by Pinterest Management?!

As a Pinterest manager…You’re a freelancer, and service-based business.

You offer and in-demand service, and business owners will pay you for your expertise!

And yes, it absolutely sounds too good to be true 🤭

But let me tell you, you can and will be successful if you’re determined and willing to take action.

I’ve gotten a lot of DM’s lately saying, “I want to work from home, is this real though? There are so many scams out there”.

Being a Pinterest manager is as “real” as being a: web designer, copywriter, social media manager, podcast manager, virtual assistant, etc.

You see, they’re all freelance services you can offer when you start a business.

Some people start freelancing and look at it as a side hustle, but I don’t recommend actually looking at it as a “side hustle”.

Yeah it can maybe start out that way until you get to a point where you’re comfortable enough to quit your 9-5, but I recommend thinking about it as a new profession.

One that will take work.

It’s not going to just fall into your lap. I like to be transparent because if you get started thinking it will be easy, it won’t be. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But it will be worth it.

How badly do you want to be at home?

How badly do you want to quit your job that maybe no longer feels aligned?

How willing are you to sit with the uncomfortable while you learn and put yourself out there?

These are good question to think on 💭

👉🏻But here’s what you need to know about Pinterest Management...

You aren’t making money by working on your account!

Yes, it’s a good indication that you’ll love Pinterest Management if you already use the platform and enjoy it... but as a Pinterest Manager, you’re actually working on your clients’ accounts.

So for example, I’m a former teacher, and 80% of my past/current clients are teacher business owners. When I’m managing their Pinterest, I’m actually logging into THEIR Pinterest account.

🤔But why would they pay me to do this?

Well my clients are course creators, bloggers, digital product sellers, physical product sellers, coaches, services providers, etc. and they use Pinterest to be discovered by their target audience!

🙌🏻Pinterest is a search engine, and since 97% of searches are unbranded, it’s an amazing way for businesses owners to be discovered.

Pinterest drives traffic/people (via Pins and clicking through) to businesses websites! And this is how they ultimately will turn those website visitors into profit for their business. Now how they monetize those website visitors will be dependent on their unique business.

Have you checked out Pinterest Predicts for 2025 yet?!

These predictions are so fun.

Since Pinners come to the platform to plan for moments, they’re often planning in advance.

This gives Pinterest unique data and insight in regards to what people want and what they’ll be interested in for the future!

From this data, Pinterest has been sharing Pinterest Predicts for years now, which can help us plan our content strategically so we can capitalize on these trends/searches.

They’ve been right 80% of the time for the past 4 years!!

What I’m sharing here is not actually all of the trend predictions, but some of my fave!

I had someone ask me a great question, “how do I know when they’ll be trending up”.

Well we don’t know exactly, and we don’t know FOR SURE if they’ll even be trends!

Here’s a tip though, some of these will definitely depend on seasonality. For example, “peak travel” has a lot of winter related keywords! ❄️🏂

REMEMBER try to stay at least 45 days in advance of seasonal content.

🥹THIS has been one of the most rewarding parts of starting my freelance Pinterest management business ⬇️

Of course being at home with my girls and choosing how I spend my days with them.

But one other reward that I didn’t even consider I would receive when starting my freelance business? 🤔

The agency thinking. 💡

Once upon a time I was very much so in the “life is happening to me” instead of “for me” mindset.

I didn’t think I had control over my situation or my actions.

Idk, maybe that sounds stupid but I felt trapped by a career that suddenly no longer served me once I became a mom.

I felt trapped by a career that I once loved but became very disillusioned with over 3.5 years.

I didn’t think I would ever work unless it was in the classroom.

Having my first daughter forced me to push myself outside my comfort zone because as much as I wanted to be at home with her, I also wanted her to experience traveling, being involved in activities that are expensive (looking at you dance haha) and more.

If we would have made it work on one income..some of the things that make life so enjoyable would have been the first things we’d have to give up.

So I pushed myself outside of my comfort zone and realized that I can do hard things, and I’m in control of my life and my actions.

When I started my business, it showed me how much I actually do like to work…

And now I’m showing my girls that you don’t have to choose between being the mom you want to be and helping support your family.

And I don’t have to stress about days off and taking care of my daughter when things like a Tonsilectomy come up 🥲

This was from last year, but I’m so glad I was able to take care of her the full 2 weeks it took her to recover!
